Christmas

Fortunately it rained on Christmas Eve, which meant we could have a shower using the rain water running off the roof and collect enough to use for the next couple of days for things like a bucket wash as our next shower if it doesn't rain again and for flushing the toilet. You might be surprised how much water you use in a day. We had bought some large bottles of water for drinking and cooking with (and for brushing teeth with). Laundry had to wait until we were reconnected or the water supply issue was sorted: who knew when that would be? So Christmas was without running water, but the storm that cut the electricity was fantastic and well worth it.

Off to Cliff Bar for Christmas lunch:

They serve the BEST chips in Tanzania. The staff claim they are the best in Africa but of course that may be a small exaggeration. Or not. Come and decide for yourself!
